WALL ANGELS FOR BETTER POSTURE

Sitting at a desk all day long? Driving for many hours? Texting messages and playing with the phone most of the day?

All we do in our everyday life is lean to the front. 
All these can attribute to a rounded upper back tightness in the neck and shoulders, weakness and sometimes to an injury.
None of us has perfect posture and we are not really aiming for it as our body is not designed to work that way. We want to avoid the extremes like having a kyphotic back.

Would you like to start working on it with an exercise that you can practice wherever you are?

Have you heard of the Wall Angels? (They are not that innocent as they sound)

First, you need to find a wall

Elbows start at 90 degrees flexed at shoulder height


Try to be as close to the wall as possible, if that is not easy you can move further away and go in a mini squat position because we are aiming for the core to be attached on the wall as well.

Hips, spine, shoulder blades…all against the wall!
Now you should start moving your arms above head and try at least your elbows to remain on the wall.
Repeat as many times as possible, everyday!
